Your friendly neighborhood island beer garden, brought to you by ABC Beer Co. and Edi & the Wolf

Governors Island Beer Co. opened in July of 2017 and is located on the eastern half of Liggett's Terrace on New York's beautiful historic outdoor oasis, Governors Island. It's the collaboration of two neighboring business back on the "big island," barely a mile due northeast on Avenue C in the East Village: Alphabet City Beer Co. (or ABC Beer Co. for short), an award winning craft beer store and bar, and Edi & the Wolf, an award winning Austrian restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef, Edi Frauneder.
Governor Island Beer Co.'s food reflects the laid back, relaxed, easy atmosphere you find on the island, while maintaining Edi's keen attention to detail for even simple dishes. Eight draft lines provide beers that are all produced within the Five Boroughs, including Kings County Brewers Collective, Other Half, Interboro, LIC Beer Project, Flagship, and Singlecut. A well-curated wine program and a breezy, beach-inspired cocktail menu round out the beverage program.
Edi, Zach, and David realize how special a day trip over the Governors Island is for New Yorkers, and we would love to host you. Come meet us for a drink and some food before you sail off back to the city!

We're in the eastern corner of Liggett's Terrace (just follow signs for "the food court"). You can CLICK THIS MAP right here to fire up the ol' GPS if you feel lost once you get off the boat. If you're feeling like exploring...
FROM THE MANHATTAN FERRY:
Walk up the hill and take a RIGHT; Take a LEFT at Castle William (the old fort from 1812); walk straight until you see a green fence with a giant RESTROOM sign and take a LEFT; We're in the giant plaza right as you pass the building
FROM THE BROOKLYN FERRY:
Walk straight off the dock and go STRAIGHT AHEAD; walk past Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals towards Liggett's Terrace; We are in the eastern corner past the main arch (on your RIGHT)
...Or just ask a friendly Governors Island helper :)
